1. Embark on a punting in Cambridge adventure –
When it comes to creating magical memories with your children, punting in Cambridge is an experience like no other. 2. Climb, slide, splash and play at Lammas Land
Located on the edge of Coe Fen, between the City Centre and Newnham, Lammas Land boasts a brilliant outdoor space that houses a large wading pool, a tennis court, an expansive playground, and a cafe. Lammas Land is a haven for children seeking outdoor fun and adventure. With its spacious green areas, pack a picnic and enjoy a relaxing day in the park while your kids burn off energy and make new friends.
Lammas Land is located about half a mile from the city centre and you can either walk along the upper River Cam or park in its own car park. There are toilets next to the café, so you don’t need to worry about younger children’s comfort. Everything you need for an afternoon in the sunshine is available on site.

3. Clip and Climb
This family run business is based by the leisure centre and is the perfect place to take your kids for a fun and exhilarating day out. You can book your slot in advance, and on arrival you will need to sign a waiver for anyone under the age of 16. The kids will receive a 30-minute safety briefing in which they will be fitted with a harness and then they are off for 55 minutes of climbing fun.
Not only does the site boast multiple climbing walls, it also has a vertical drop slide and a stairway to heaven.
Sessions are fully supervised, with trained staff on hand throughout to help beginners and build confidence on the walls.

4. Immerse in nature at the Botanic Gardens
If you are looking for a nature escape within the city then the Cambridge University Botanic Garden is the best place to be. With its beautiful landscapes and diverse plant species, this garden provides a tranquil setting for a family outing. 5. Milton Country Park
Just a few miles north of the city of Cambridge lies Milton Country Park, a beautiful country park created from old gravel pits. This 220 acres of natural habitat has surrounding woodland areas, lakes and pathways suitable for various outdoor activities and sports.
Why not learn to paddle with the kayak sessions they have to offer for people of all ages? Or maybe go for a cycle ride around the park if you are searching for an active fun day out.
Not looking to be very active? Would you rather lounge and simply take in the surrounding wilderness? No problem, why not undertake a casual swim in the lake or practise your fishing skills? Whatever it is, Milton Country Park has an abundance of activities fit to suit your personal outdoor needs.

6. Cambridge Leisure Park
If you fancy some indoor fun and excitement why not visit our leisure park located directly next to Cambridge train station. The Cambridge Leisure Park is a vibrant hub of excitement and entertainment for families. This sprawling complex offers a diverse range of activities that will keep everyone entertained. From bowling strikes to catching the latest blockbuster at the state-of-the-art cinema or even a show at the Junction, there’s something for every member of the family.
The park also features a variety of enticing restaurants and cafes, perfect for satisfying hungry appetites after a day of adventure. Whether you’re seeking thrills, relaxation, or delicious food, Cambridge Leisure Park promises a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.

7. Cambridge Ice Arena: Where Ice Skating Dreams Come True –
Located on Newmarket Roads Park & Ride, Cambridge Ice Arena is an all year round, indoor, state-of-the-art ice rink. It provides multiple activities for people of all ages including ice-skating, ice hockey and curling, as well as kids birthday parties and holiday activities for your children, ensuring that no one is left out. So lace up your skates and glide across the glistening ice, as you twirl and spin. The arena also caters to skaters of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced, with helpful instructors available for lessons.
Opening times vary between 10:30am and 21:00 on weekdays; 9:15 am to 17:30 on Saturdays and 9:00 am – 14:15 on Sundays.

8. Fitzwilliam Museum
Being the leading partner in the collection of museums owned by the University of Cambridge, the Fitzwilliam Museum is probably one of the most famous establishments in Cambridge. Located on Trumpington street the building is open six days a week from Tuesday – Saturday it opens between 10:00 am – 17:00 pm and on Sundays and bank holidays 12:00 am – 17:00 pm.

9. Discover the wonders of science at the Cambridge Science Centre

10. Shepreth Wildlife Park
Even though this next activity is near Cambridge, within 20 minutes of the city and nestled in the heart of Cambridgeshire. Shepreth Wildlife Park is a haven for both kids and adults who have a passion for wildlife and conservation. This enchanting park offers an array of exciting experiences that will leave your children in awe of the natural world. From getting up close and personal with majestic big cats to witnessing playful primates swinging from tree to tree, Shepreth Wildlife Park provides a unique opportunity to encounter a diverse range of animals.
